i have honest skin and burn not really easily but simpler than i tan..lol i have psoriasis on my legs pretty terrible and when i was in highschool the doctor tried all to get rid of it and nothing worked so i started tanning and it took it away really quickly, i want to wear a skirt for halloween and have a party coming up this weekend, im sur ei can wear stalkings to this party but dont want to to the rest, my psoriasis will clear up in about a week or 2 but how long before my white white white legs have a excellent base color? i dont want to have white legs that will blind everyone but dont want to wear stalkings if i dont have to. can i have a excellent tan by the 26th if i start the bed tomorrow? i plot on going everyday for at least a week and then will slow down wheni get my minutes up, i will start at appr. 5 mins for day 1 then go up 1 minute everyday for a week then i will jump up a few more, i know the process and yes i know its perilous and causes cancer and leathery saggy skin but
its my choice and i have been doing this on and off for years… if i can get it to go away for a few months it wont come back for app. 3 years..kinda weird but it works and now its coming back so ihave to go back to the bed, i only tan until i get a excellent base and it hs cleared up then istop or at lest slow down for a month or so then stop!! so do u reckon i can be a small tan by the 26th?

I have pain in nearly every joint and the doc believes it is fibromyalgia and my husband thought that using the tanning bed will help ease the pain because of the heat. A guy he works with has psoriasis and he uses a tanning bed to help that.

I have suffered from psoriasis my total life. When I was small it started on the back of my leg and worked it way up my thigh. As I got grown-up, It started to spred more. Id get patches on my knees or elbows and it was nothing that creams or topical treatments wouldnt cure…

The grown-up im being paid the worse its be converted into.. Its now covering about 80% of my body and not only is it physically discomforting, Its also affecting me mentally. The stares and questions from people who are unfamiliar with this illness makes me feel like I am something that stepped out of a horror movie..

Its hard to deal with because besides my psoriasis I am a very pretty 21 year ancient. I cant wear bathing suits or even shorts, and events like tonight, when my brother graduates high school, Im going to be wearing a long sleeved shirt in 90 degree weather.
I would really like to know if a name knew a home remedy or something inexpensive that would reduce the appearence of my “blotches”. I dont have medical insurance, so a trip to the dermatologist is pretty much out of the question. Ive also tried the tanning bed, but have found that the skin under my psoriasis becomes burnt and makes my even dryer than before.. Im willing to try anything..

Im using some over the counter treatment called Psoriasin, but no luck with it yet. Also ive been using things like, Selson Blue as body wash..

Any help would be Momentously appreciated!
Ive tried the Enbrel treatment, and was on it for 6 months. It worked somewhat, but even with insurance, I was paying over $200 a month, and the price without it is like $1500 a month.. Cant handle that….

I was wondering if anyone has used a tanning bed for treating Psoriasis? What were the results? I use to tan a few years back and never had Psoriasis. Then for some reason I quit, and at the time did not reckon much about it, but like a year after I started showing signs of Psoriasis. I havent taned in view of the fact that. I am thinking about starting back up to see if it helps, cause all I have used small of shots does not work.

I have SEVER psoriasis and literally have tried all. Methotrexate, Dovonex, steroids, PUVA, I sleep w/ a humidifier and take oatmeal baths. Sometimes I use a tanning bed to get it under some control but it never goes away. I use TONS of lotions and baby oil. When we go on vacation in Jamaica, I am clearin about 2 days. When I get home…BAM got it even worse. What are some things that have helped you?

I will be having total hip replacment surgery done in May. I have a small psoriais spot on my left hip. I need to clear that up asap or they will cancel my surgery. The doctor gave me a lotion to place on twice a day. I’ve done tanning in the past to help with my psoriais but I’ve never known if I really need to go the full 30 minutes or lf 15 a time will do. Also, should I go every day or every other day. The tanning salons all say “every day”.. I’m worried they are just saying this to get me to buy more minutes!! Any sugguestions would be momentously appreciated.

I currently treat it with over-the-counter lotion, topical steroids (which have worked well), and the occasional 15 minutes in the tanning bed, but am considering taking fish oil pills. I like fish and have heard excellent things about fish meds. Thoughts?

i have less scaling and alot of flush with burning and itching…..i cant take this pain much longer so any recommend would be splendid.
