Ultraviolet set alight B (UVB) is an effective form of ultraviolet radiation for treating psoriasis. It is present in natural sunlight and penetrates the skin. UVB slows the abnormally rapid growth of skin cells associated with psoriasis. Treatment involves exposing the skin to an artificial UVB set alight source over a set period of time.

Fumaric Acid Ester Therapy. Introduced nearly 30 years ago, this is one of Germanys most commonly prescribed oral treatments for sever tablet psoriasis. Common side effects contain: flushing, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea. Kidney disorders, decreased white blood cell count, and osteoporosis are more serious side effects of this psoriatic treatment. The gastrointestinal side effects have caused 37% of people taking the original medication to discontinue use; but, recent reformulation offers only rare reports of the gastrointestinal side effects.

Herbal medicines like Saariva (Hemidesmus indicus), Manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia), Khadir (Acacia catechu), Vacha (Acorus calamus), Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri), and Jatamansi(Nardostachys jatamansi) are used to treat the skin and blood tissue, and to reduce stress.

Other medicines like Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) and Bhrungraj (Eclipta alba) are used to treat the disturbed immune system of the body.

Aloe Vera and Jojoba based shampoos are considered brilliant psoriasis natural treatments for the scalp area, because they help soften the skin and psoriasis plaques.

Oatmeal is another psoriasis natural treatment that can help the entire body, because it can simply be shaken into bathwater and used as a soak. This softens the skin naturally, and helps thin out and soften the psoriasis plaques too.

Pustular Psoriasis: Causes white blisters, usually surrounded by areas of red skin.

Psoriasis Treatment

There is no known cure for psoriasis! Treatments that do exist, aim to control the spread of the disease and reduce its severity. Treatments should be undertaken at the advice of your physician as different treatment regimes are suitable for different patients and forms of psoriasis.

Treatment regimes contain:

Topical treatment: creams and lotions are applied to affected areas. Some of this medicines are natural, some artificial and some a amalgamation of the two. Always consult your physician or dermatologist before using unknown substances. Phototherapy: or the exposure of the affected areas to UV rays, usually in a solarium or through the use of UV projectors. These treatments must be medically supervised and ordinary. Systemic treatments: involves the use or oral or intravenous medication – always administered by a qualified medical practitioner! Climatotherapy: refers to treatments for psoriasis in an area where climatic and other factors give a therapeutic and healing benefit – such as the Dead Sea. Climatotherapy is a process that can take anywhere from a week to a month. The results of climatotherapy, especially at the Dead Sea, have been shown to be extraordinarily effective in combating the ravages of psoriasis and in retarding its reappearance.

i have severe tablet psoriasis 70% of my body is covered i currently have not been to the dermatologest recently. i occasionally use methamphedimines and when i do my plaques seem to dramaticly clear up, not 100%, but i have never cleared up in view of the fact that diagnosed at age 17 . should this be something i should confide with the dermatologst ? should i keep it to myself knowing it is highly illigal? i have a excellent life and family, including a husband and kids . my use is not at my home and my husband does know. i am not saying its aptly , but thats my life. please inform me of your opinion. thank you

I have had chronic tablet psoriasis for about 22 years and am developing arthritic psoriasis (im 23) but unfortunately my doctor just keeps on prescribing me oilatum for the bath and dovenex.I have had every release treatment available in this time including all dead sea salts, creams and products, the usual prescribed rubbish like dovebet,steroids and even uv treatment,i had a lovely tan!!My mum is into alternative weird stuff and got me to try aru? cream and chinese teas and all kinds of tar potions and lotions and ointments i was even once covered in honey and banana skins and wrapped in cling film !!lol!(the list is too long!)All that has happened is that it got a bit worse until now.any more sharp thoughts because arthritic psoriasis when i got 2 kids???thanks for reading my drivel!!
