I’ve been diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 10.. I’ve had to for 6 years now, on and off.. I’ve been wondering, do the people who have Psoriasis get Psoriasis Arthritis ultimately in their lives??

I’ve used a lot of the store bought creams and roll-ons. Tanning helps but I may have skin cancer if I keep it up. The doctor said their is some shot but I’m concerned about the results and side effects. Just wondering what some people use to control their psoriasis. Thanks!

my girlfriend is having some problems withe her skin. she started tanning for prom and started being paid welps on her skin. now she has what she thought was poison ivy but its lasting for a really long time and being paid everywhere. her stomach, arms, face, legs. they’re huge red bumps that itch and hurt her. people have said it might be psoriasis, shingles, poison ivy, poison oak, and heat rash. she uses cream and stuff used for poison ivy and sometimes it helps some. the other day a place my hand on her arm and it was on one of the spots and she said the heat really helped it stop hurting. but when she was sweating it burned her spots really terrible. im really worried about her. i reckon her mom is being paid her a doctors appointment next week. what could be the problem and what could help her? please help!

This is a first occurrence for me, and somewhat devastating, because I didn’t expect it at the age of 21! I have a very natural approach to most things in life. I know that lots of sunshine & “coal tar” (eww), are supposed to help with psoriasis. I’ve been using all oatmeal lately (including oatmeal soaks), to keep my skin soft, and it IS helping with the psoriasis.

My question to you, is if there are special “soaks” for people with psoriasis. I’ve heard that dead sea salt soaks are excellent, but don’t they dry out your skin even more?

Are there certain vitamins/minerals that are more geared towards repairing skin cells/ keeping skin supple?

Every couple years I get psoriasis all over my body. Usually I use creams to get rid of it,but the last time I broke out,I had no insurance so lots of people said that tanning booths help it. So I went for a few weeks and it cleared it up..But I guess that when I was tanning,the areas that I had psoriais were being paid darker than the rest of my skin for some reason. So now I have dark circles on my legs. So what can I do to get rid of these marks. My skin is 2 different colors!
