I have my 12yr ancient step-daughter who lives with us, my toddler will be 2 1/2yrs ancient & then I’m going to have a newborn that I be going to on trying to breastfeed. I’m going to be up every 2-3 hours of the night probably for about an hour at a time feeding, varying the baby’s diaper, & burping. The I get up the next day & take care of the other family & the house. How am I supposed to function on no sleep? For the time life I am also homeschooling my 12yr ancient b/c she has severe psoriasis & needs treatments, we plot on carriage her to school when she gets better. I also appearently have OCD & some depression. My hubby works somewhere between 12-14 hrs a day 6 days a week, so he’s too tired himself to really help my circumstances. How am I going to function? Am I going to be ok?
Milosmommy: My step-daughter’s mother has been having a problem with alcohol lately. There is a lot of fighting & screaming from what I know over there. I really don’t know the total circumstances & I don’t know her so I’m not judging. This is what I gather though. My step-daughter wasn’t being paid very excellent medical treatment for her psoriasis that started out a spot on her head the size of a silver dollar & now has pretty much taken over her total body. We need to make sure she is being paid adequate medical treatment & medication. She needs shots & topical creams. I can’t trust her to do it herself. going through morning sickness, I couldn’t keep up with checking all her schoolwork, so when she didn’t know something she just wrote an answer down & didn’t even bother asking anyone for help. I can’t send her back to school, she is covered in psoriasis & kids are so cruel, I just can’t do that to her.

Is this Psoriasis or eczema?

For about 5 years now (I’m a teen) I’ve had these red bumpy patches of skin on my upper arms and butt (it looks different from the arms) that often turn into postules. People tell me all the time it’s eczema (at least on my arms, I haven’t told people about my butt) but it doesn’t itch at all. I reckon it’s heredatary because my dad has it and my mom had it when she was younger. So do you guys reckon it’s eczema or psoriasis? Any treatment suggestions would be nice too. Thank you so much!

Can I get cancer if my dad’s side of the family has cancer?

My dad himself, has esophageal cancer. On my mom’s side I was told that I might get diabetes, in view of the fact that my uncles and grandma has diabetes. I currently have a type of guttate psoriasis that won;t seem to go away. I have two other siblings and we were all born with mild asthma. Can there be a huge risk for us to inherit any cancer or diabetes genes in blood frm our parents?

I have had a very traumatic year with my mom quick away in November, I lost my job in January and my husband had a heart attack in February. Three days after his heart, attack I developed circular red spots on a excellent part of my body. On WebMD, I read something about Guttate Psoriasis, though there was no mention on how to get rid of the spots.

The pictures look like what I have. They started out sharp red in February and are gradually fading, but I still have them. They don’t itch, burn, sting or anything. They are a small dry, but that is all.

I look like one polka-dotted woman!

There is no mention of how to treat them anywhere. Has anyone had these? From what I have read they are brought on by stress. They are not contagious nor harmful, but they look hideous. The spots are pencil size to much larger.

Anyone who can tell me how to get ride of them…I would be so grateful. Thanks.

my girlfriend is having some problems withe her skin. she started tanning for prom and started being paid welps on her skin. now she has what she thought was poison ivy but its lasting for a really long time and being paid everywhere. her stomach, arms, face, legs. they’re huge red bumps that itch and hurt her. people have said it might be psoriasis, shingles, poison ivy, poison oak, and heat rash. she uses cream and stuff used for poison ivy and sometimes it helps some. the other day a place my hand on her arm and it was on one of the spots and she said the heat really helped it stop hurting. but when she was sweating it burned her spots really terrible. im really worried about her. i reckon her mom is being paid her a doctors appointment next week. what could be the problem and what could help her? please help!
