I have suffered from Psoriasis for many years and have tried every remedy known to Medical Science and some that weren’t. I have pumped my body full of steroids which has resulted in the lessening of my skin and weakness of my bones. I have tried countless sun bed treatments at the risk of acquiring skin cancer and so many creams and lotions that my Pharmacist now considers me to be a best friend.

I know that this unsightly, debilitating disease is incurable, but I just want to be able to wear sleeveless tops and skirts in the summer and go to the Coastline without feeling self conscious.

Hours of searching the Internet gave me a lot of things to try but nothing really worked adequately for any period of time. Research has shown me that Oats, Chamomile, Dead Sea Salt and Olive Oil are all very excellent for the skin – in fact I even considered saving up for a trip to the Dead Sea but finances wouldn’t allow.

Recently, by chance, I came across a piece in the Daily Mail’s Excellent Shape section which mentioned ExfoliOats’ Oat Pouches. I have had this in view of the fact that I was 14. it was never too terrible. I got pregnate and it was gone. I also nursed for a year and it was under control then. But as soon as I stopped nursing it flared up Terrible!!!! It has been 3 years now and I can’t take it. I have tried Rx lotions and ontments and creams..they only work for so long then you need to stop useing them b/c of the side effects. I don’t want to to the oral/injestions b/c of the side effects. I have been tanning for a bit and just trying to keep moist. Does anyone have any suggestions…I am using just a regular lotion. I have talconex but you can only use it for a month and need to stop b/c it thins your skin and calsium can build up in your body. If you know of any that work excellent let me know PLEASE!!! I have this from head to toe and it is so itchy.

I have had chronic tablet psoriasis for about 22 years and am developing arthritic psoriasis (im 23) but unfortunately my doctor just keeps on prescribing me oilatum for the bath and dovenex.I have had every release treatment available in this time including all dead sea salts, creams and products, the usual prescribed rubbish like dovebet,steroids and even uv treatment,i had a lovely tan!!My mum is into alternative weird stuff and got me to try aru? cream and chinese teas and all kinds of tar potions and lotions and ointments i was even once covered in honey and banana skins and wrapped in cling film !!lol!(the list is too long!)All that has happened is that it got a bit worse until now.any more sharp thoughts because arthritic psoriasis when i got 2 kids???thanks for reading my drivel!!

Have had anthralin but thanks.Have also had dietry investigations and im allergic to dairy (cept milk???) and pineapple and rubber latex and penecillin!!!!!!!!

I have SEVER psoriasis and literally have tried all. Methotrexate, Dovonex, steroids, PUVA, I sleep w/ a humidifier and take oatmeal baths. Sometimes I use a tanning bed to get it under some control but it never goes away. I use TONS of lotions and baby oil. When we go on vacation in Jamaica, I am clearin about 2 days. When I get home…BAM got it even worse. What are some things that have helped you?

He has tried several prescriptions (enbrel, and so many topical treatments ive lost count) We have an extensive collection of lotions/oils/shampoos/etc. He has also seen dermatologists, tried tanning, set alight therepy, etc. etc. etc.

The patches cover his scalp, parts of his arms, back, chest, legs, and other “areas” if you know what i mean. It seems hes tried all, i know hes utterly tired of the itching, peeling, and psoriatic arthritis hes dealt with for years. I want nothing more than to relieve him of all these things. I like him so much that my heart aches everytime i see him look in the mirror and sigh.

ive suggested several organic and naturopathic treatments, i know hes open to the thought, but im sure hes very skeptical. hes mentioned a few times that he doesnt want to “embarass me on the alter”, ive told him his psoriasis would never do anything of the sort.

Please help us, i want so terribly for him to be comfortable in his own skin, any suggestion helps. Thank you!

i am 27 years ancient.. i have crohns disease… i have been on remicade for 2 years, which is supposedly also a treatment for psoriasis, but, oddly, enough, i developed psoriasis last year.. it does not run in my family.. my current dermatolagist is a kook, and i am at a bit of a loss.. aptly now, i am treating it with topical steroids, lotions, and trying to cover it up with self tanner, but my total body is pretty much covered.. i was able to get rid of it even as recovering from a surgery last year, but it came back 6 months later.. i heard of a name else whose psoriasis went away even as hospitalized also… i can only attribute it to not life bale to eat even as there.. fasting…. anyone have any experience with this? if i were to do a water dies for 3 days, do you reckon it would work? i find rubbing white vinigar on helps too, but i would really like to try other things…. anything…
thanks for stating the obvious, solomon.. lol… it is saturday but, so, i want to try something else for the weekend… like ppl who have experience with it…

Despite having Psoriasis for most of my life, more often than not it has never been a huge problem for me.
But, the grown-up I get, the worse it seems the condition is being paid. I’ve used topical steroid lotions and moisterisers but with no real long term improvement shown.
Anyone Have any thoughts on alternative treatments, cures?
