I have suffered from psoriasis my total life. When I was small it started on the back of my leg and worked it way up my thigh. As I got grown-up, It started to spred more. Id get patches on my knees or elbows and it was nothing that creams or topical treatments wouldnt cure…

The grown-up im being paid the worse its be converted into.. Its now covering about 80% of my body and not only is it physically discomforting, Its also affecting me mentally. The stares and questions from people who are unfamiliar with this illness makes me feel like I am something that stepped out of a horror movie..

Its hard to deal with because besides my psoriasis I am a very pretty 21 year ancient. I cant wear bathing suits or even shorts, and events like tonight, when my brother graduates high school, Im going to be wearing a long sleeved shirt in 90 degree weather.
I would really like to know if a name knew a home remedy or something inexpensive that would reduce the appearence of my “blotches”. I dont have medical insurance, so a trip to the dermatologist is pretty much out of the question. Ive also tried the tanning bed, but have found that the skin under my psoriasis becomes burnt and makes my even dryer than before.. Im willing to try anything..

Im using some over the counter treatment called Psoriasin, but no luck with it yet. Also ive been using things like, Selson Blue as body wash..

Any help would be Momentously appreciated!
Ive tried the Enbrel treatment, and was on it for 6 months. It worked somewhat, but even with insurance, I was paying over $200 a month, and the price without it is like $1500 a month.. Cant handle that….

I’m looking for people with experience in dealing with severe psoriasis. My daughter was on all topicals, we then did “tanning treatments”, she did infusion treatments until she had mild AS and now on injections of Enbrel, ( a year now). We aren’t seeing the benfits outweighing the risks. Has anyone used a topical for moisturization and found it has helped. If so, what lotion, cream or topical did you use?

He has tried several prescriptions (enbrel, and so many topical treatments ive lost count) We have an extensive collection of lotions/oils/shampoos/etc. He has also seen dermatologists, tried tanning, set alight therepy, etc. etc. etc.

The patches cover his scalp, parts of his arms, back, chest, legs, and other “areas” if you know what i mean. It seems hes tried all, i know hes utterly tired of the itching, peeling, and psoriatic arthritis hes dealt with for years. I want nothing more than to relieve him of all these things. I like him so much that my heart aches everytime i see him look in the mirror and sigh.

ive suggested several organic and naturopathic treatments, i know hes open to the thought, but im sure hes very skeptical. hes mentioned a few times that he doesnt want to “embarass me on the alter”, ive told him his psoriasis would never do anything of the sort.

Please help us, i want so terribly for him to be comfortable in his own skin, any suggestion helps. Thank you!
