My mother went salon tanning for over a year. Before she went tanning she had no previous description with psoriasis. But, when she stopped tanning she developed a case of psoriasis on her arms and legs. She had to use special cream to make it go away.
This summer she got a sunburn on her arms which turned into a tan…it made her psoriasis go away! Why?

and i was recomended strong topical steroids and occulsion (wrapping a bandage around the treated area), im pleased to report that i have been symptom free for over a year now but due to my harsh treatment the skin on my arms and legs are very red. i also have a mild case of folliculitis but that is responding well to treatment. but im life treated with laser theraphy to improve the flush and i was wondering if anyone has been in a similar circumstances or has any suggestions for treatment assuming the laser does not work. thankyou for your time.

I am in a wedding in 2 weeks, and have to wear a strapless dress, and it is very terribly blotchy and spotty where the scales first were, they haev dried out and jsut left white spots which look slike sun spots and i want to know overall what is the best way to get pigment back in my skin? tanning i woudl assume for an overall fix, but im not even sure on that.. but for a quick fix that looks natural shoudl i try a self tanner? will that even work on the spots? or shoudl i try mystic/airbrush tanning… will taht work better or at all? i jsut want to look as natural as possible, so id liek to avoid using makeup, and having it rub off on my dress or something… any help or suggestions woudl be momentously apprectaied!!!!! thank you!!!!!!! i was jsut diagnosed and am new to dealing with evrything! my slef esteem has already gotten way terrible, and i just feel uncomfortbale in my skin…. i have guttate psoriasis, if that makes a differnece, so it is pretty much only spotty on my arms and legs..

Hi I have suffered with poriasis for more than 30 years lately it has got a lot worse. spreading all over my legs and arms and even my bum and starting up my back. I know there is a treatment of ultraviolet set alight but have shyed away from that because i have lots of freckles on my arms and legs and i despise them. I didnt want them appearing in places that i never had them before (I know you will say that freckles are better than having psoriasis but copeing with the psorasis has been sufferable up until now. I read a bit on the internet about ultraviolet set alight but want to know if you get the same affects from this as you would from the sun (Tanning) I also read that using sunbeds does not have a excellent affect on psoriasis which again makes me wonder what the difference is. Bascially i dont want my body to be covered in freckles.

I have had psoriasis for about 5 years now. I have it mainly on my arms and legs, feet and hands and a few patches on my ears. For me, this is the time of year it usually gets better but not this year. I have tried MG217, Psoriasin ointment, many prescription creams and ointments, Aveeno baths, Aveeno soap and lotion, vaseline, baby oil, vitamin e gel. I watch my diet and water intake. I do not have a lot of stress in my life. I cannot do tanning beds and/or natural sunlight as I am allergic to the sun. I still have adverse reactions even with sunscreen. My cholesterol levels are excellent as is the rest of my bloodwork. Nothing the dermatologist has prescribed has helped. I can’t afford the Raptiva shot becuase I have no insurance. The dr. is loath to prescribe it anyways due to the fact that I get normal headaches. Does any person know of a treatment that has helped them or a bigwig they know? Thanks so much!

i have no medical and have had ecxema/dermatitos on my hands for years recently i have broken out with a scaly mildly itchy rash all over my body except my face, mostly on my side, arms and legs, is it psoriasis? Everyone freaking me out saying it is scabies! HELP
