I’ve been diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 10.. I’ve had to for 6 years now, on and off.. I’ve been wondering, do the people who have Psoriasis get Psoriasis Arthritis ultimately in their lives??

I have chronic psoriasis on the upper half of my body. Mostly my tummy and my back. It’s been about 6 years in view of the fact that it started. It got really terrible when we had a de-humidifier in the house due to a flood, it has in view of the fact that then cleared up quite a bit. But there’s still patches, and they get very dry, itchy, and sore. I also have chronic dandruff, which is most likely related. I’ve tried all kinds of dandruff treatments, and nothing seems to help.
My boyfriend also has some skin issues (we both had these problems before we met). He has weird peeling on his feet and hands. His feet also get blisters which may or may not be related. Where it’s peeling, it’s very itchy.
We don’t have the money for a dermatologist. Any home remedies or over the counter recommend would be helpful!

My son got it as an adult after serving in the US Army. He thought the red flaky patches on his scalp was from wearing a kevlar helmet for most of 6 years. He’s a civilian now but its worse than ever before. We’ve tried medicated shampoo, lemon juice, some type of coal oil stuff from the pharmacy. It looks really horrid if he has his hair small. No more services cuts for him! Thanks.

I have some rashes on my legs that have been there for nearly 6 years. I have been to the doctor. He place my leg up to a special set alight and said it wasn’t fungus. He diagnosed it as Dermatitis, and prescribed me prescription cortizone which I used as directed for a few weeks, and did not help it. The patches are pale red, thicker than the surrounding skin, flaky looking, very itchy at times, and sometimes not.

My skin, in general, is very dry and sensitive and the rash is only on my lower legs. I do wear pants most of the time. But, even when I was going to tanning beds, the condition was not better than it is now. The patches bounce around alot. I’ve started to get very small patches on my thighs and torso. I have no thought what it is. My boyfriend has psoriasis, and it looks like his condition, but isn’t nearly as severe. It only has morphology (appearance) that is similar.

I’ll be thankful for any advice I can get. Hopefully a name has had a similar condition. Thanks.

Hey gang, I’ve suffered from tablet psoriasis for about 6 years now and it’s in the final stages of healing. I use two different creams which are quite helpful – I have also had set alight treatment and used different methods of soaking. Just wondering if anyone has any helpful hints on what they’ve used that has worked. Serious comments only, please. (And…. what have been the psychological effects of having this skin condition and how have you handled it?) Must answer both parts to be select for best answer!

I was diagnosed with psoriasis about 10 years ago (when I was 5 – 6 years ancient), I honestly cannot remember a day not having the thick nasty plaques. Anyways it’s being paid worse, much worse. It’s on my back now and it’s starting to hurt and itch.
The doctor has given me two creams for psoriasis, one made me mad, hungry and all out not me. The other burns, it burns and makes the plaques look WORSE even after months of use it’s still the same tale. It has gotten to the point that I am desperate for help, I am ridiculed at school for this disease, it brings me pain, and has killed my self confidence.
I need help on fighting this, my family is in financial crisis though and I cannot afford expensive treatments. Has anything cheap helped you fight your psoriasis to a sufferable point? I’m through going to the doctor for help with this, no more rage creams, no more perilous pills, no more pain.

Help me please.
